If you catch a glimpse of the elusive sun this week, make sure to spend it at the new J Sheekey Atlantic Bar terrace.
A striking combination of pillar box red and shimmering turquoise, the terrace’s comfortable dining chairs and Sheekey-branded planters make for a seriously tempting dining proposition. Open from midday onwards every day, the menu features an eye-popping, double-decker shellfish platter, as well as salads and a range of seasonal fish, shellfish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Wine comes by the glass, carafe or bottle.
For the recent re-launch, the Sheekey's team worked with the inimitable Sir Quentin Blake, whose series of specially commissioned “Life Under the Atlantic Bar” illustrations adorns the walls, plates, windows and menu.
Chef Andy McClay has put together a menu especially for the terrace and has added a section dedicated to lobster which includes some real crowd-pleasers like the lobster & shrimp burger and lobster & shiso tempura with chilli jam. There is also a new cocktail list to complement the dishes.
To celebrate the terrace launch Sheekey's will be offering those who book a table on the terrace a limited edition Sheekey tote bag with a Quentin Blake image.
