Made London: Annual Design & Craft Fair Returns, 20-23 October
An annual contemporary craft and design fair, Made London returns to present a diverse range of national and international designer-makers. The fair brings together over 100 exhibitors to display and sell their original, unique and innovative creations, including ceramicists, textile designers and mosaic artists from across the globe. Made London was launched in 2013 in response to designer/makers requesting and needing a major avenue for selling in the capital. The focus of the fair is on original and exceptional contemporary craft and design, alongside bringing together established and emerging makers under one roof.
From the intricate mark making techniques of textile designer Amanda Cobbett to the quirky animals inspired ceramics of Sophie Alice Wiltshire, the fair will feature a wide range of innovative designs in a variety of materials. Housed at One Marylebone the artworks will be displayed in a light filled space, a building that brings its own attraction to the event.
Made London is a relaxed contemporary focused craft and design fair where the makers themselves meet the public, to discuss inspirations, design processes and future projects. As part of the fair organiser’s commitment to fostering relationships between makers and consumers, where pieces can be purchased directly or work can be commissioned.
Made London's Anne-Marie Shepherd stated, "We are advocates of promoting quality handmade work to all, not only as luxury items, but for inspiring the purchase of beautiful and functional hand crafted objects, whether it be a simple pair of earrings or a bespoke piece of furniture. The work which we present in One Marylebone reflects this magnificent building, full of stunning architectural and interior features."
