After Nyne x Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair: Director's Highlights

The UK’s largest contemporary print fair is set to run from 17-20 November 2016 at the Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich. Curated by Brocket Gallery London, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair will sell original, affordable prints alongside demonstrations, artist tours and advice on how to start an art collection.

In the third in a series of After Nyne x Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair features, Fair Director & Curator Lizzie Glendinning selects her highlights ahead of the event.

Jerome Flinders

I saw his drawings at the Whithurst Park Art Fair in September and was completely blown away. I love the architectural element. Recently working with Charles Avery. Definitely one to watch, and highly collectable.

Cat Roissetter

We are currently showing her painting exhibition 'A Thousand Plateaus' at the Kennington project space until November 5th which will extend with solely her prints at the Durning Library to accompany WCPF. Cat won the Augustus Martyn Prize for etching for her MA at the RCA. Her delicate and fantastical drawings are transcribed in to beautiful and almost dream-like scapes.

Jenny Wiener

Originally from South Carolina, I came across her work at an exhibition my husband was showing in last year. I was so happy she could be on board with this. I love the way she dissects and investigates historical paintings, again the architecture of space is another thing that draws me and the bold block colour extracted from the focus image.

Ashleigh Thompson

Only just graduated from City & Guilds School of Art London this past summer. Already one of the most dedicated and professional artists I've worked with which naturally makes her one my ones to watch!

A number of our clients are already buying up her work which I'm so excited about. The images she's been working on through her graduating year and subsequently are made up of layers of organic forms, manipulated on the most delicate tissue paper with her hands palms and fingers. She doesn't look at the work, she feels it and therefore feels if it is finished. There is an immediate and intimate connection between the artist and finished product.

Laura Clarke

I'm extremely excited about Laura. Her 3D piece will be hanging above the information/payment desk at the fair so sort of centre piece.
